DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead microbiology perspectives of ex vivo studies to support Clinical development team in designing clinical trials
Working with vendors to obtain desired lab data, and interpret result to the project team
Support on making critical decisions on study design and progress, based on the lab data received from vendors
Oversee and Manage vendors for executing projects and obtain deliverables
Support liaison with country KOLs on related communication
Review and summarize relevant literature and epidemiology data to inform Project Team
M.S in microbiology (Ph.D as desirable), or MD with microbiology research experience is required
Experience in bacterial and fungal pathogenesis (viral lab experience as a plus), culture and CLSI based antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) is required
Experience with designing/interpreting infection model and animal PK/PD modeling is required
Minimal 8 years’ experience in an clinical microbiology lab, and 5 years’ experience in research
Deep understanding of MIC, breaking point and dose selection of antibiotics
Research experience with monitoring antibacterial resistance surveillance is a plus
Has experience on molecular techniques for microbiological characteristic analysis (PCR, WGS, etc)
Familia with China government regulations on infectious disease (ID) drug development and approval
Familia with resistant mechanisms in Gram-negative pathogens
Experience in test development and validation, would be desirable.
Good Chinese and English communication skill, in oral and writing
